Palm Sunday 13th April 2025 // Morning // Philippians 2:5-11 // The Unexpected King

Rev. Craig Lynn preaches Matthew 21:1-11 and Philippians 2:5-11 at Palm Sunday morning worship on Sunday 13th April 2025 in First Ards.
On Palm Sunday, Jesus entered Jerusalem to cheers and shouts of “Hosanna!”, but not as the people expected. He came not on a war horse, but on a donkey. Not to claim power, but to lay it down. From Matthew’s account of that first Palm Sunday and Paul’s reflection in Philippians, we see the heart of Christ: gentle, humble, obedient, even to death on a cross. He is the King we need and one day every knee will bow before Him.
